What to know and do after the surgery

Pain: After the surgery, you should always take antibiotics and pain medication. If you are not bothered by pain, you should still take painkillers, as they have an anti-inflammatory effect.

Swelling: After surgery, it is recommended to put a cool compress on the side where the surgery was done, in order to avoid bruising and swelling.

Rinsing: The first day after surgery you should not rinse your mouth because this can cause bleeding.

Recommendations after dental implant surgery:

Driving is not recommended for several hours after surgery.
For a few days after surgery, do not drink alcohol, salty or spicy food, coffee, black tea or smoke.

You feel throbbing pain on the day of surgery.
You feel numb on the day of implantation, even though more than twelve hours have passed since the surgery.
Swelling and pain persist for several days.
Bleeding persists.
You have symptoms that are not listed above.
